| you should just use your vox wah in front of the pedal. Then you can still run a pedal model and use the expression for another useful parameter. |

Thanks. Have you found it to be better in front or in the loop? |

Hey Everyone, I just got the tonelab LE last night and i've been messing with it. I love the tones but I have an expression pedal question.
On any given channel, can i have the volume pedal active, then push down on it to activate the wah? Right now, all i can do is one or the other.
The closest I have gotten is to have the volume pedal active. then I assigned the wah to the control button and when i turn it on, the colume pedal stays active and the wah sound comes through but in a fixed position.
Please don't tell me I have to hook up a separate pedal for this. I used to have a line 6 pod xt live and it was just defaulted that way for every channel. the sounds are way better on the tonelab so it's worth it if i have to hook up a separate pedal.
Let me know, thanks |

| Thanks everyone. The only issue with that is that I have to use another item that I have to power up and hook up every time gig. I know it's not a big deal but before this I had a full pedal board with one pedal for each effect that sounds amazing. I wanted to make it easier by having an all in one. anything that I have to connect separately brings me closer to having what I had. I don't think i'll keep it...unless anyone knows of a person selling an SE in the toronto area. |

| I use a wah before the Tl. It does sound better in my opinion plus i still have the distortion options. I dont think the TL wah is bad, but my wah does sound a little better. |

Has anyone tried this proposed solution:
"Problem: I want to use both an overdrive/distortion pedal model and the wahwah pedal model in the same preset, but can only use one.
Solution: Place an external distortion or wahwah pedal in the effects insert. If you don’t want to use additional external pedals, try picking the distortion pedal model you want, then set up the filter effect in the modulation group, and assign it’s sweep parameter to the expression pedal. Note that this puts the wahwah after the amp model, which will not sound identical to having a wahwah before the amp."
I found this in a document titled

Well, as previously mentioned, it is not possible to have 2 "pedal" effects running simultaneously. This can be an issue if you desire a "pedal" distortion model as well as the "wah" effect. My solution has been to set up a second lead patch within the same bank as my go-to lead sound. The difference between the two is:
Patch 1 - dist + clean or slightly dirty amp mod/channel + other desired effects.
Patch 2 - wah + similar amp model w/ hi-gain/vr gain + boosted ch. vol + other desired effects.
Obviously MUCH tweaking will be needed to achieve similar levels, gain, & dist. between the two patches, but it can be done. Also, IMHO a BBE Sonic Maximizer is the BEST investment any guitar player can make to improve tone. You'd be surprised how much more the LE breathes with a BBE S.M. at the end of your signal.
I keep these patches side by side on the board so all I have to do when playing in my "lead" sound & wah is desired is switch to my second patch within that bank. Also, I have noticed some of you guys play pretty boutique amps - why not use the amp distortion? If I were going to shell out the cash for a Mesa, Egnater, Super Sonic, etc, then my go-to distortion(s) would mostly be coming from the amp. Just my $.02. _________________ Current Rig:
