I seems that the Intel Dual Core is making some problems when you are using a USB Midicable (for example a ESi midimate as I just got), the solution is to manually delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters registry values, follow these steps:
1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
START > RUN > (Type) REGEDIT (and hit ENTER)
2. Locate the UpperFilters and LowerFilters value under the following key in the registry (if they exist)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
3. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK.
Now you have to UNINSTALL THE USB AUDIO DEVICE, UNPLUG IT, AND REPLUG IT AGAIN
It seems like it a problem between Dual Core and Logitech Webcams that generates this error....
I bought this one http://www.esi-audio.com/products/midimate/ and now is works like a charm.
Regards
Lasse

I bought the midimate cable as a result of your post. I can't get my pc to find the tonelab. I followed your instructions but I couldn't find the upperfilter or lowerfilter values in the key you had listed. Do you have any other suggestions on getting my pc to recognize the tonelab?
thanks for you help... |

Word of advice, "DON'T BUY USB-MIDI CABLE". It sounds like a good idea, but may NOT work with your TLLE.
I got one cheap ($16), but it's never worked with my TLLE. It works with a keyboard though -- as of playing midi file to the Yamaha keyboard.
I spent so much time trying all kind of things, but still couldn't get it to work. By the way, I am very good at computer and knew what I was doing exactly. I have also tried using TLLE with my m-audio PCI MIDI card and it works fine that way, so it's definitely not the problem with my TLLE.
Once again, don't buy USB-MIDI cable specially those cheap Chinese junk that claims to "has a built-in driver". |

| Update: I bought myself a new USB MIDI cable. It is called uno 1x1 and made by m-audio. It works the first try, so I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for one. |
